The Eccentric Compensating Chuck is for machining forgings and black bars between centres. These chucks are essentially meant for applications where the component is located between centres. One side of the component is mounted in the chuck body, and the other on the machine’s tailstock.

The Eccentric Compensating Chuck with two / three retractable jaws permits machining of shafts, bars, forgings in full length in a single set up, centre to centre. The jaws grip the component in the first operation. Next, in the finishing operation, the jaws retract and the face driver drives the component for machining the outside diameter. more…

GMT Power Operated Pneumatic Front End Chucks utilizes the spindle bore in full for bar/ pipe work. The actuating cylinder is built into the chuck. Consequently, there is no actuating cylinder mounted at the rear, with the necessary drawbar connections. Above all, the stationary air distribution system is mounted separately on the chuck. more…

The GMT Quick Change Jaw Chuck reduces the change over time of jaws for different components and is suitable for machining small and medium-sized batches. Also, the base jaws, fitted with top hard or soft jaws, can be pre-turned or ground to suit different components and kept ready. Whenever the component changes, you can change the corresponding base jaw with top jaws very quickly. more…

Ball Lock Chucks have certain distinctive advantages over wedge and lever type chucks. Sliding and swivel of the base jaws achieve jaw movement of ample proportions. Therefore, there is less wear, less bearing pressure and less stress in the jaws. Apart from the radial clamping forces, these chucks provide an axial force to pull the component against the butting face. There is a positive pull back action against the jaw face after clamping due to spherical movement and positive sealing to prevent the entry of chips. more…

GMT make Power Operated Hand Indexing Chuck is ideal for machining valves, bonnet, etc., for components with intersecting axes. Consequently, multiple machining operations can be performed in a single setup. This reduces production time. The component clamps between the jaws. Finally, after the machining operation is over, lifting the index lever causes the component to index to the next position with the jaws. more…

GMT Power Operated Power Indexing Chucks are primarily for machining valves, bonnet, universal joints and spiders. Furthermore, they have integral hydraulic cylinders to perform clamping, de-clamping, indexing and locking of index drum. The oil is fed to the different cylinders through a pipe bundle running through the spindle bore.  more…

As a result of finger action, the Twist Finger Chuck is ideal for clamping the component on the face with a centralized location, where clamping on OD/ID facilities are not possible. Typical examples are brake drums and automobile hub wheels. more…

DIAPHRAGM CHUCK (DC)

GMT Diaphragm Chuck (DC)Diaphragm Chucks are ideal for thin-walled components. Furthermore, these chucks are ideal for light, accurate turning, fine boring, facing and grinding operations. As a result, diaphragm chuck improves accuracy. It maintains concentricity during precision machining operations. more…

The GMT Collet Chuck is suitable for machining components of various geometric shapes, like round, square and hexagonal, with finished gripping areas at high speed. Also, this chuck is interchangeable with the standard GMT power chuck and runs on CNC lathes too. The actuation of the chuck is by a hydraulic cylinder. Furthermore, it has a compact design, and the permissible run out accuracy is as per DIN 6386. It is available in four sizes: 26mm, 42mm, 60mm and 80mm. Also, we can design and produce special application collet chucks customized to your requirement. more…

The Grip Down Chuck is ideal for the finishing operation. Consequently, the chuck’s radial pull-back function ensures Positive resting of the component after clamping, parallelism, high gripping force, and repeatability. This chuck is suitable for auto components. more…

A typical application of the GMT Expanding Mandrel is clamping of components on internal diameter to machine in a single setup. Also, it maintains concentricity and even at high clamping force. more…
