METROLOGY DIVISION - Cast Iron and Granite Products

Metrology Division - Cast Iron Products: Cast Iron Products are manufactured at our well equipped 30,000 sq. ft. foundry located at SIPCOT, Hosur. A machine shop and laboratory spread over a 10,000 sq. ft. area are also available at this facility. The Cast Iron products are made of close grain Cast Iron with hardness from 190 to 210 BHN. Two grades available: Grade I - Hand Scraped; and Grade II - Machined.
PRODUCT RANGE
	CI SURFACE PLATE – The plates are ribbed to minimize deflection under load to conform to deflection limits as per IS2285:1963 standard. Grade 1 plates are artificially seasoned. Accuracies as per IS2285:1963 Standard DOWNLOAD PDF
	ANGLE PLATE – The plates are well ribbed to minimize distortion. Suitable number of T-Slots are provided on surface. Divided clamping holes are provided on other working face. Accuracy as per IS2554:1971 Standard DOWNLOAD PDF

	BENCH CENTRE – The base is made of close grained Cast Iron, heavily ribbed and stress relieved. The checking centres consist of head stock and tail stock. Head stock spindle is made up of Nickel-Chromium Steel, case hardened and ground. Centres are made up of tool steel and ground. CONTACT US FOR DETAILS

Metrology Division-Granite Products: This division manufactures the complete range of granite metrology equipment like surface plates etc.. The 3000 sq.ft. plant is located in Hosur, TamilNadu. This region is home to large deposits of world famous Indian black granite.

	GRANITE SURFACE PLATE – Granite surface plates are manufactured to precision standards using the finest quality black granite for measuring applications, layout marking work and lapping precision parts. Lapped to accuracies as per the DIN 876 standards, IS 7327:1991, GMT's surface plates are offered in four grades: Laboratory Grade – 00, Inspection Grade – 0, Tool Room Grade – I and II. These are also supplied for use as reference bases for Co-ordinate measuring machines. T-slots can be provided on request for clamping components. DOWNLOAD PDF
	STRAIGHT EDGE – Black Granite Straight Edges are lapped on both top and bottom surfaces. Different sizes are available to suit customer needs. These are used in setting up of work on surface plates and machining tables for straightness and flatness.
	GRANITE MASTER SQUARE – Granite Master Squares are used for Direct checking of perpendicularity, squareness and straightness, for calibrations of CMMs, Machining centres etc. The plates are made of Black Granite of different sizes to meet customer requirements. All granite cubes of four sides are lapped to accuracies as requested by the customer.
	GRANITE TRI SQUARE – Granite Tri Squares are used for direct checking of perpendicularity, Squareness and Straightness, for calibration of CMMs, Machining Centres etd. The Tri Square is made of Black Granite. We offer different sizes as per customer requirement. All five are accurately lapped to meet customer needs.
	MASTER CYLINDER – Master Cylinders are used for checking perpendicularity, squareness of machine parts and fixtures. Master cylinders are made from high quality, wear resistant hardened steel. Bottom surface and outer dia (OD) is ground to very high accuracy on high precision grinding machine. Various sizes are offered to suit customer requirements.
